https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=396858 Summary: Installing NetWare 6.5 SP8 on OpenSUSE 11.0 causes host server to hang Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: RC 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Xen AssignedTo: jbeulich@novell.com ReportedBy: dcollingridge@novell.com QAContact: jdouglas@novell.com CC: cgriffin@novell.com, lbendixs@novell.com Found By: --- Occasionally, when I start up a NW65SP8 install on OpenSUSE 11.0 (RC1), the entire host server will hang. I have duplicated this on two different systems (AMD and Intel). It only appears to happen on 32 bit architectures (my other two 64 bit systems are fine). It doesn't happen every time, but after starting up 2 or 3 NW installs, you should see it. ----- Steps ----- 1) Install OpenSUSE 11, including Xen pattern 2) Make sure you are running Dom0 3) Start up vm-install 4) Select NW 6.5 5) Add the ISO for the install source (SP8) 6) Leave everything else the default 7) Launch the install Shortly into the install the host freezes up. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
