About the packages from the screenshot of comment #2 (attachment #219489):
Patterns are not the only objects that can require packages. Very likely the
packages marked for automatic installation are simply required by some other
package, or even by some other pattern. Patterns can overlap. Their packages
are not exclusive to any one pattern.
For "xterm" I am pretty sure about that: The X11 pattern requires it, and some
other pattern requires the X11 pattern. Why does the XEN pattern require or
recommend "xterm"? I don't know. But there is no pressing reason to not have it
there, too.
For "yast2-vm" I am not sure where it comes from; but I would guess some
pattern that includes all YaST2 modules requires or recommends that, too. The
rationale is that users typically don't know that a YaST2 module exists for any
specific task if it doesn't show up in the control center.
