https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=396240 Summary: Install fails when going from update to fresh install Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: RC 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kiwilinux@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Customer Take update option in the install selection (existing beta3 installation). Progress through a few more screens. Back out of this option untill you are at the install selection screen again. Select the fresh install option. As you progress through the screens you will see that only a few hundred MB of rpm's are selected for install. The run level is also set to 3 and the option for installing via images is disabled by default. No package selections are highlighted in the softwware section. If the install is now continued these few packages are installed and then the install errors out and will not continue to run successfully. It appears that selecting 'update' and then backing out from this and selecting 'install' does not reset the installation correctly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
