https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=389549 Summary: bunch of install realted bugs Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 2 Platform: i386 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kaushal@parikh.us.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Other gnome live cd 11 beta 2 on x86 32bit bug1: i had opensuse 10.3 - install script on desktop failed to prompt for upgrade and it was install only option - it should be able to find the existing install and prompt to upgrade too as well. bug2: during install i selected "root" to be password for user root - really short password. the dialog screen where it prompts that do you want to continue with short password was not a dialog box but a full screen in background. since on the main screen the next button was grey out - i did alt+tab from instinct and was able to see the prompt screen in background and cliked ok bug3: after install, every time i click firefox an error meesage comes, unable to find /.beagle something file. bug4: this is really a nasty and needs to addressed - its about screen resolution i am not sure how to explain but trying my best. my default resolution is 1284x1024 the gui - runlevel5 - screen shifts towards right by about half inch. when i press ctl+alt+f1 to the text screen - which is not really a text like redhat but kind of gui text, its moves left into screen by half inch. i have lcd monitor and can auto adjust with one press on lcd but this experience would be horrible with crt monitor. this part need attention and needs to be fixed asap. kaushal@parikh.net -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
