After finding out about the problem described in Bug #382072 I added locks on java-1_5_0-sun-plugin and java-1_5_0-sun. zypper al java-1_5_0-sun-plugin Reading installed packages... Specified lock has been successfully added. zypper al java-1_5_0-sun Reading installed packages... Specified lock has been successfully added. zypper ll # | Name | Type | Repository --+-----------------------+---------+----------- 1 | java-1_5_0-sun-plugin | package | (any) 2 | java-1_5_0-sun | package | (any) zypper doesn't seem impressed by these, as: zypper dup Reading installed packages... The following NEW packages are going to be installed: java-1_5_0-sun-plugin java-1_5_0-sun The following package is going to be reinstalled: audacity The following package is going to be REMOVED: java-1_6_0-sun-plugin Overall download size: 22.6 M. After the operation, additional 74.3 M will be used. Continue?
