No, restart does not return the font to the original size. I'll elaborate a
little about the steps I took.
After installing Beta 2, digital clock has large bold font.
I right clicked the clock and selected digital clock settings from the menu.
I clicked the timezones tab and deselected the 'Use local time' check mark.
I selected America/Chicago/Central Time from the list and clicked 'Apply' and
restarted my computer. The digital clock changed to a smaller font with the
word 'Chicago' under the time.
Then I went back to the clock settings menu and rechecked the 'Use local time'
box and all the other choices went gray. I clicked apply but nothing changed
after a restart.
