https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=386452 Summary: applications.menu-fallback does not honour kiosk profile settings Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE3 AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: eva.brucherseifer@basyskom.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- The patch applications.menu-fallback.diff to kdelibs/kded/kbuildsycoca.cpp adds a fallback to the file applications.menu.kde in case /etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu is not present: VFolderMenu::SubMenu *kdeMenu; if ( QFile::exists( "/etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu" ) ) kdeMenu = g_vfolder->parseMenu("applications.menu", true); else kdeMenu = g_vfolder->parseMenu("applications.menu.kde", true); This breaks the KIOSK setup of profiles, where an applications.menu file can reside in some profile configuration dir. The patch probably should use the findRessource function from KStandardDirs: if ( ! KGlobal::dirs()->findResource("xdgconf-menu","applications.menu").isEmpty() ) [...] -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
