https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=382036 Summary: [sax2] no xorg.conf is written to disk (/etc/X11/) Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Beta 1 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: SaX2 AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: funtasyspace@yahoo.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I just used the Beta1 ISO to do a fresh installation of openSUSE 11.0. I was wondering, why my configuration changes, I did via SAX2, had no effect after I switched to runlevel 5 again. Therefore I moved all xorg.conf* files from /etc/X11 to another folder, to see if sax creates/writes a xorg.conf file at all. After I ran sax2 and clicked on 'Save configuration' I checked the directory /etc/X11/ again, if there's a xorg.conf file now, but there's none! Next I created an empty xorg.conf in /etc/X11... # touch /etc/X11/xorg.conf .. and ran sax2 again, to see if it writes the configuration there if the file exists. But after I clicked 'Save configuration' /etc/X11/xorg.conf has still zero Bytes and is empty. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
