https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=373566 Summary: OpenOffice 2.3.1 freeze in openSuSE 10.3 Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: eward@novell.com ReportedBy: mark.daglish@ozemail.com.au QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Customer I open a document in OpenOffice. I can work with it for about 10-15 seconds and then Open Office freezes. OpenOffice 2.3.1 build 2.3.1.2 from rpm OpenOffice-2.3.1.2-3.1 Running openSuSE 10.3 Intel Core2Duo 64bit processor Kernel - 2.6.22.17-0.1-default The document is OpenOffice writer native *.odt Not sure if this is relevant. It contains references inserted by bibus. I have bibus 1.4.2 installed from source tarball from sourceforge. (http://bibus-biblio.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page) I have done an strace, but even bzipped it is 1M in size so I haven't attached, but can send if needed. I do see a lot of repeated lines like this "15918 20:00:29.805293 read(8, 0x688b44, 4096) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable)" I did google, and the only other similar bug I found was a freeze of the whole X system (bug 245711), which is not happening here. I can still work with any other programs. I have also found no difference if I turn off openGL or hardware acceleration. I do have NVIDIA driver with compiz running, but like I said, the rest of the X system is working, so I don't think this is an NVIDIA issue.
