One more observation:
Logging out does not unmount the devices in question. Entering Terminal 1 with
CTL+ALT+F1 and issuing
ls /media
still shows them, and issuing
cd /media/WS6L-Extern1
ls
displays its content, i.e. it is still mounted.
Also logging back in again does not open any Nautilus window as it does after
booting and logging in.
A question crosses my mind:
Why would you want to automount devices on logging into the GUI, but not when
logging into the CLI ? I.e. if, for whatever reason, I am booting to runlevel 3
and log in from there, I would find it rather convenient to have the drives
mounted there as well.
