https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=373127 Summary: support for setting the display size independently from the monitor resolutions Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: SaX2 AssignedTo: ms@novell.com ReportedBy: timmi@gmx-topmail.de QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: timmi@gmx-topmail.de Found By: --- Please make it possible to set the "display size" for X.org (the aplitune of the image rendered by X) manually in Sax - independently from the monitor resolutions. Example: I've a Laptop with a display of 1280x800. I want to use a video projector or a monitor at the VGA output in "clone mode" with the resolution of 1280x960 (they don't support 16:10, but only 4:3) with black margins on top and at the bottom of the page. So the "display size" should of course be 1280x800 - but Sax sets it to 1280x960. Or dependently of your hardware, maybe you want to have the second head of the graphic card with a smaller resolution than the first...? For laptops, there is a need for flexible setup of display size and monitor resolutions. Setting the display size automaticly isn't flexible enougth. Sax should offer the possibility to set the display size explicitly by the user. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
