Hmm...
You got it once, Magnus had it too, I have it permanently. So what's the
difference between our installs ?
I just commented out my cure from /etc/init.d/halt.local
#umount -a
#rm -rf /media/*
and it's still alive and kicking.
ls /media
hal-mtab .hal-mtab-lock SD1-4GB SD1-4GB_ SU110Alp.001 SU110Alp.001_
WS6L-Extern1 WS6L-Extern1_
after one reboot.
SD1-4GB is a 4GB MMC, SU110Alp.001 is the DVD and WS6L-Extern1 is a firewire
harddrive.
The current install is based on a clean install from alpha2 DVD plus regular
updates.Latest this morning ( uname -r: 2.6.25-rc5-git3-6-pae )
In fact the stale directories don't get removed on shutting down. Where is this
usually done ?
It's also not likely hardware dependent, as I get it on a different brand
Notebook as well.
