https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=368640 Summary: Synaptics trackpad not set up correctly by SaX2 Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Alpha 2 Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: SaX2 AssignedTo: ms@novell.com ReportedBy: james@usr-local-bin.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=199869) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=199869) xorg.conf SaX2 setup my trackpad/mouse combo with the "mouse" driver which meant that my external mouse (bluetooth as it happens) works fine and the basic functions of the trackpad (movement, clicking, tapping) worked but I couldn't scroll or adjust its settings. The trackpad needs to use the "synaptics" driver with Option "SHMConfig" "on". Furthermore, if that's then the only mouse specified, an external mouse no longer works, so both need to be setup in xorg.conf and Option "SendCoreEvents" "true" specified for which ever is Mouse[2] and the ServerLayout section adjusted to include both. Attaching my xorg.conf as an example. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
