Hi Kibana,
I'm still not able to reproduce this, but I think the problem may be that 169.x
is reporting an invalid EDID erroneously.
You mentioned that 100.14.19 works, can you try saving the EDID to a file with
100.14.19? Then, reinstall 169.12 and use the "CustomEDID" option in your
xorg.conf to force the use of the EDID that you saved.
