https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=365263 Summary: screen corruption with radeondriver Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Alpha 2 Platform: PowerPC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: olh@novell.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=197472) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=197472) radeon-screen-corruption.jpg The radeon driver has appearently a problem with the dvi connector (I have not tried vga connector myself, yet). The G5 with radeon cards have two digital connectors. If a philips 200W is attached without vga converter, the screen gets corrupted with 11.0, as shown in the attached screen shot. Building current xorg-x11-video-driver for a 10.3-ppc does not help. The original 10.3 radeon driver can not be used because it just disables the port, and the 200W goes into standby mode. If the digital-to-vga adapter is used, everything looks ok. also driver fbdev works. Matze uses the digital-to-vga converter with the radeon driver on cloudberry.suse.de I use the plain 200W digital connector on blackberry.suse.de Doing a screenshot with ksnapshot shows no corruption. the used card is: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 AP [Radeon 9600] (1002:4150) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
