https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=364544 Summary: knetworkmanager help is not helpful Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: jw@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: seife@novell.com Blocks: 357354 Found By: --- if network is configured as traditional setup, without networkmanager, the menu on the knetworkmanager toolbar icon has the message 'network manager is not running'. The menu offers help, but the help submenu only offers 'report bug' and two about boxes. A user who started knetworkmanager is likely to also want to start networkmanager. But no instructions are provided from knetworkmanager. I suggest to add a 'Howto start NetWorkManager' entry in the help menu. It should (to begin with) explain how to use yast to start networkmanager: E.g. go to Network Devices-> Network Card, Global Options -> Network Setup, (*) User controlled with NetworkManager -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
