https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=362542 Summary: PDF cannot be printed via CUPS at all Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Printing AssignedTo: jsmeix@novell.com ReportedBy: daghtus@yahoo.com QAContact: jsmeix@novell.com Found By: --- ###HARDWARE### Compaq Presario V4000 (Centrino 1.7 GHz CPU) Xerox Phaser 3125/N (enhanced clone of Phaser 3124) both connected (wired) via router Linksys WRT54GC. ###DRIVERS### As there is no official Linux driver for Phaser 3125, I tried the following two: XEROX DocuPrint N4512PS Foomatic/lj5gray Generic PCL6/PCL XL Foomatic/pxlmono ###SYMPTOMS### PDF seems to be processed correctly via CUPS. A PDF print job can be seen in KJobViewer and it gets marked as completed both using the DocuPrint and the generic driver. No page gets printed via the DocuPrint driver at all. An error page gets printed via the generic PCL6 driver: a) using KPDF Viewer (the first printed page displays the following error, the other page contains a single line with weird characters) ------------------cut------------------ PCL6 ERROR - FALSE POSITION : 0x0 (0) SYSTEM : XLPGP/xt_att LINE : 2294 VERSION : PCL6 5.40 12-21-2006 ------------------cut------------------ b) using Acrobat Reader (a single printed page displays the following error) ------------------cut------------------ PCL6 ERROR - undefined XL code POSITION : 0x0 (0) SYSTEM : XLPGP/xt_pa LINE : 822 VERSION : PCL6 5.40 12-21-2006 ------------------cut------------------ Printing via the DocuPrint driver works fine with other applications. Printing via the generic PCL6 driver works almost well as it only prints one copy at a time. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
