--- Comment #4 from Tamás Németh 2008-01-10 08:29:59 MST ---
Today I noticed the difference - in the number of running processes - between
the working and non working state of the hal daemon:
Working state (rare):
carrier1:~ # /etc/init.d/haldaemon start
Starting HAL daemon done
Loading CPUFreq modules (CPUFreq not supported)
carrier1:~ # pstree | grep hal
|-hald---hald-runner-+-hald-addon-acpi
| |-hald-addon-inpu
| `-6*[hald-addon-stor]
Non working state:
carrier1:~ # /etc/init.d/haldaemon start
Starting HAL daemon done
Loading CPUFreq modules (CPUFreq not supported)
carrier1:~ # pstree | grep hal
|-hald-addon-acpi
|-hald-addon-inpu
|-5*[hald-addon-stor]
I use the 64 bit version of the kernel 2.6.22.13-0.3-xen.
