For the people that are following this bug report.
I have tested the ipw and the iwl drivers located here:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/driver:/wireless:/10.3/openSUSE_10...
Against the 2.6.22.13-0.3-default Kernel.
First thing I would say is.. Stick with ipw. The iwl version 1.2.0 still drops
connection every once in a while (Not as often as 1.1.0 but more then the
1.2.22 driver). The 1.2.22 driver did not drop my connection after an hour of
using, but the 1.2.0 dropped after about 20 minutes. Also the wireless light
doesn't work.
The ipw driver however is great. Works great with wep / wpa / unencrypted / non
broadcasted ap's. The light works as it should. And never drops the connection.
If openSUSE 11.0 is going to ship with 1.2.0 then I would have to say they MUST
include ipw although this may be different with NM 0.7.
Hope all have a great weekend
