it isn't about just the INVALID thing, and I disable ipv6 on any linux system I
set up because most don't use it and if it isn't being used it's an unnecessary
security risk (and yes it's a security risk I watched a server that I didn't
set up get dos-ed because it didn't have ip6tables and yet supported ipv6).
It's more about being able to control the chains and rules myself. The invalid
rule is just an example. btw, to add that to an existing firewall you would use
a -I instead of a -A to Insert instead of Append.
actually even if Yast can't configure them itself a farely easy fix would be to
add a way to save the existing rules, including ones modified out of yast, or
just have it save the rules as part of shutdown. doing this would be enough to
satisfy me.
