https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=342833 Summary: Font rendering does not honor DisplaySize under XGL Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Xgl AssignedTo: dreveman@novell.com ReportedBy: David.Walker@ucop.edu QAContact: bperry@novell.com Found By: --- I have a laptop with a dock and a larger monitor in my office. My desired behavior for this configuration is that everything I see when the laptop is undocked is displayed larger (in proportion) on the monitor in my office. Unfortunately, fonts render smaller with respect to the rest of the screen when I'm using the larger monitor under XGL. This does not happen when I have disabled "Desktop Effects." I believe the problem is that XGL uses the large monitor's display size (434x270 millimeters), rather than the size of the laptop monitor (304x190 millimeters), as set in my xorg.conf file. I'll attach copies of my xorg.conf file, as well as the output of xdpyinfo. I use Gnome, and the versions of my XGL and Compiz packages are: xgl-git_070104-84.1 compiz-0.6.2-3.1 compiz-fusion-plugins-extra-0.6.0-1.4 libcompizconfig-0.6.0-1.4 libcompizconfig-backend-gconf-0.6.0-1.2 compiz-gnome-0.6.2-3.1 compiz-manager-0.0.1_git071019-13.1 compizconfig-settings-manager-0.6.0-1.5 compiz-emerald-themes-0.6.0-1.1 python-compizconfig-0.6.0-1.3 compiz-emerald-0.5.2_git070825-1.4 compiz-fusion-plugins-main-0.6.0-2.2 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
