--- Comment #11 from Jim Pye 2007-11-19 03:27:21 MST ---
I am having similar problem under high load, not just network. On my system it
does not freeze but corrupts memory which causes file corruption and/or
segmentation faults trying to run command line utilities.
I have done some testing with both the normal kernel and xen kernel. I can not
get the system to fault when using the normal kernel (no xen) therefore not a
hardware problem. With the xen kernel, both Dom0 and DomU, cannot get the
system to run reliably.
Testing involved copying large .iso file to system via scp then md5summing it.
Also copying file from one physical disk on system to another over and over.
md5summing it each time.
Just tried the jiffies workaround mentioned above but this did not work for me.
Can give further hardware details etc. if wanted...
Cheers
Jim
