I Always Restart KNetworkManager & Even Rebooting ( Which Shuts Down & Starts
Up Again Fresh NetworkManager ) Doesn't Change A Thing. I Use Opensuse 10.3
Installed From The opensuse-10.3-GM-i386.iso File I Downloaded Which Passed
Media Verification Checks. I Use KInternet To Connect Currently And Have
Checked Both Connected & Disconnected & It Doesn't Make A Difference. In YAST >
Network Devices > Network Card It Is Set To Use NetworkManager Over The
Traditional ifup Method. In YAST > Network Devices > Modem I Get A Warning
About NetworkManager Being Activated On Startup & That Due To Its Single
Connection Only Support I May Want To Use KInternet. I Procede & Every Time
Either Invoked By KNetworkManager Or Myself Through The YAST Control Centre
Always Shows My Provider & Modem. KInternet Picks Both Up Flawlessly From YAST.
( The Provider Is The Connection That NetworkManager Should See ). I Had To
Manually Modify My Configuration File So That It Will Use Stupid Mode. That
Used To Be In YAST In 10.2 But They Ripped It Out In The Revamp & YAST Ignores
It ( KInternet Doesn't ). This Is Required To Establish The Connection In The
Authentication Phase. I Am Completly Up To Date Except The Dbus & Kernel
Updates As Of 16/11/2007 10:43:36 New Zealand Standard Time. It Is Completely
Reproducible Every Time Since I Installed. I Also Used KInternet In 10.2. The
Install Was A Complete Wipe.
