https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=340164 Summary: ipw3945 not working on IBM Thinkpad Z61m Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: zoltan@levardy.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- The intel wireless PRO 3945 abg adapter is not initializing by kernel (missing lsmod). Therefore NetworkManager cannot establish connection to router (SMC Barricade 2804WBR V2 EU). The wireless connection is _not_ broadcasting the SSID, and the communication channel is encrypted by pre-shared key (WPA-PSK). The indicator led of the wireless connection show "heavy-endless" traffic, but i will not set the connection (even not on the test phase during the install), and also will not release the wireless adapter. Very same happening on my second laptop: Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 with the same intel 3945 wireless. => my impression is the intel 3945 driver is not operating as it expected, and the bug is not related to ibm or toshiba assembly. thank you guys! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
