This sounds like a BIOS bug to me. You probably should report this to the
motherboard manufacturer. Can you take photos of the above boot sequence and
post them here (for both successful and failing cases)? I'd like to know
what's going on.
FYI, most SATA RAID are pseudo. BIOS has minimal software RAID support so that
it can configure and boot from it. The rest is done by OS driver (be it Linux
or Windows) and unfortunately the on-disk format for such BIOS RAIDs aren't
compatible over all vendors and I personally don't trust them and much prefer
and recommend using pure Linux software RAID (md) with separate small boot
partition.
