I upgraded to 1.72-29.1.
Well... yes. It is using "hwinfo" now. But the issue itself remains.
It takes some *time* after the modules are loaded to actually "see" the
cdrom/dvd drive. The "hwinfo" command is too early. The drive isn't there yet.
If I put in some "sleep" commands, all is fine (with my system at least).
I'm not aware of a command which waits until the USB subsystem finished the
discovery of the current state. If there is one, this should be used to check
if USB subsystem has settled before issuing the "hwinfo" command.
