It's great we ship rtl8187, but unfortunately it's is only for usb. I'm hoping
we can include the pci driver as well.
(http://rtl8180-sa2400.sourceforge.net/ also has some info)
4 different drivers are actually shipped from
http://rtl-wifi.sourceforge.net/wiki/Main_Page:
-rtl8180-sa2400-dev (old legacy based on intel stack, which would support 8185)
-rtl8187-dev (usb driver based on intel stack)
-rtl8187-newstack (usb driver based on mac80211 stack)
-rtl818x-newstack (new driver based on mac80211 stack, supports 8185, will
replace rtl8180-sa2400-dev)
We include rtl8187-newstack, which is only for usb devices.
We should at least ship either rtl8180-sa2400-dev or rtl818x-newstack in
addition to the usb driver in order to support more wireless devices. (I could
help determine which driver would be a better fit we were serious about adding
one).
By the way, I couldn't find any information about the pci drivers being
included for the mainline kernel.
