--- Comment #2 from Andreas Bockhold 2007-10-10 06:26:43 MST ---
Because I have some strange errors with modules not loaded on boot time I
reinstalled the whole system. Nevertheless the mkinitrd problem persists. When
trying to chmod into the new system the following happens (I add the whole
procedure for reference):
thinkpad:~ # cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sda5 swap
Enter LUKS passphrase:
key slot 0 unlocked.
Command successful.
thinkpad:~ # cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sda7 root
Enter LUKS passphrase:
key slot 0 unlocked.
Command successful.
thinkpad:~ # swapon /dev/mapper/swap
thinkpad:~ # mount /dev/mapper/root /mnt/root
thinkpad:~ # mount /dev/sda6 /mnt/root/boot
thinkpad:~ # mount --bind /proc /mnt/root/proc
thinkpad:~ # mount --bind /sys /mnt/root/sys
thinkpad:~ # mount --bind /dev /mnt/root/dev
thinkpad:~ # mount
/dev/sda8 on / type ext3 (rw,acl,user_xattr)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
