--- Comment #2 from Sebastian Reitenbach 2007-10-01 03:03:34 MST ---
I got another ext3 error message, but now on the iscsi initiator.
The filesystem was exported like this on the iscsi-target:
Target iqn.2007-09.intern.dmz:raid_docs
Lun 2 Path=/dev/sdc3,Type=fileio
iscsiadm --mode node --targetname iqn.2007-09.intern.dmz:raid_docs --portal
10.1.0.40:3260 --login
The initiator is an openSUSE 10.2, x86_64,
Bootdata ok (command line is root=/dev/sda2 vga=normal)
Linux version 2.6.18.2-34-default (geeko@buildhost) (gcc version 4.1.2 20061115
(prerelease) (SUSE Linux)) #1 SMP Mon Nov 27 11:46:27 UTC
2006
BIOS-provided physical RAM map:
BIOS-e820: 0000000000000000 - 000000000009d000 (usable)
BIOS-e820: 000000000009d000 - 00000000000a0000 (reserved)

BIOS-e820: 000000007f767000 - 000000007f780000 (ACPI NVS)
I initiated a connection to the target from the initiator, created an ext3 fs
on it, mounted it, and started an rsync.
The rsync stopped after some gigabytes, with the following reason:
write error, permission denied, read-only filesystem
EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode.
EXT3-fs error (device sdd1): ext3_new_block: Allocating block in system zone -
blocks from 161349632, length 1
Aborting journal on device sdd1.
ext3_abort called.
EXT3-fs error (device sdd1): ext3_journal_start_sb: Detected aborted journal
Remounting filesystem read-only
EXT3-fs error (device sdd1): ext3_free_blocks: Freeing blocks in system
zones - Block = 161349632, count = 1

EXT3-fs error (device sdd1): ext3_check_descriptors: Block bitmap for group 0
not in group (block 33030144)!
EXT3-fs: group descriptors corrupted!
this ext3 filesystem was mounted via iSCSI on the initiator while that
happened.
