--- Comment #59 from Alexander Osthof 2007-09-27 07:52:17 MST ---
Ok, I've tried to reproduce this bug using a system with nearly the same
configuration, thus an IDE harddisk for installation and an additionally SATA
harddisk with a former SLES10-SP1 on it.
I've installed a fresh 10.2 and subsequently updated to 10.3 RC3.
Everything went fine, system booted normally. No mess up of device.map.
Here are some logs, first the ones from fresh 10.2 installation:
device.map:
-----------
(fd0) /dev/fd0
(hd0) /dev/sda
(hd1) /dev/hda
fstab:

debugfs /sys/kernel/debug debugfs noauto 0 0
usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy auto noauto,user,sync 0 0

From my point of view, everything looks fine. I assume there has been a fault
derived from a former installation or maybe user intervention.
As I can't reproduce, I close this bug RESOLVED INVALID.
