There seems to be the same error for other linux distributions (slackware, gentoo) and there is also a patch around. (see http://gentoo-wiki.com/Dell_XPS_M1330#Sound and http://intr.overt.org/m1330-files/alsa-stac.diff) Unfortunately I am not expert enough to know how to install this patch with Suse 10.3. Could you please help.
