https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=325555 Summary: Yast2 bad disk usage estimation when selecting packages Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 3 Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Keywords: Usability Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: vmicho@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=172699) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=172699) Example of estimated disk size for mplayer. Yast2 (software management) is calulating badly the estimated disk space after installation. It seems when selecting a package (e.g. kooka) which is 1.6MB, it removes 1.6GB from free disk space. So there is somewhere a factor of 1000 somewhere. "Continue anyway" works still fine of course. I'm joining a screenshot with mplayer installation (which is about 50MB with all dependencies) - you can clearly see over 55GB! for installation needed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
