https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=309081 Summary: udev rule for net rename wrong for wireless driver using mac80211 Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 3 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Hotplug AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Larry.Finger@lwfinger.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer When a wireless driver uses mac80211 to create a STA, two devices are created - wmaster0 and wlan0. Using the current udev renaming rules, wmaster0 is renamed to eth1 and wlan0 is renamed to wlan0-rename. When the appropriate naming rule in /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules had 'ATTR{type}="1"' added to it, then wmaster0 is not renamed and wlan0 becomes eth1, as expected. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
