The tansform map provided by Steffens tools gives me: hda->sda and sda->sdb.
This is wrong since the system to update already had the rename being done.
Maybe your data in /var/lib/hardware was still from 10.2 while the rest of
the system was already 10.3beta#2.
Your fstab was found on /dev/sda2 (which was named hda2 before update according
to Steffens wrong disk translation table. The content of this found fstab was
sda2
instead of hda2, this is as mismatch which DeviceMatchFstab correctly reported
due to false translation table.)
Strictly speaking, updates between beta versions are unsupported anyway.
If you have the time, it would be interesting if you could install a 10.2
onto either (10.2 names) your hda or sda or mixed or two installs to the two
disks and try the update to 10.3 using beta#3, this should work.
Steffen please look at y2log file (search for LIBHD_HDDB_DIR).
