https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=307724 Summary: login via vnc host:1 does not work Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 3 Platform: PowerPC OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: olh@novell.com QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com Found By: --- openSUSE-10.3-Beta3-DVD-ppc-Build1004 I enabled remote login via yast after I logged into kde. vncviewer host:1 gives a kdm login window But logging in as a new user terminates the session. I tested this with kde and fvwm as windowmanager. For some reason, the ~/.dmrc is not updated for the user. When logging in local, the new user still gets kde as default, even if twm was selected last via vnc. There is nothing obvious in the logs. I have not tried to enable the remote administration during second stage. I dont know if its a regression from earlier betas. It probably worked with 10.2 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
