https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=307133 Summary: zypper: in .repo file, the baseurl is ignored if the header contains an URL Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: kkaempf@novell.com ReportedBy: jdluhos@novell.com QAContact: kkaempf@novell.com Found By: --- Some .repo files, typically the default ones, have this structure: [http://some.url/bla] name=http://some.url/bla baseurl=http://some.url/bla .. With these files, zypper tends to read the URL from the first line (the one in brackets) instead of the baseurl. Even if the baseurl is changed to a complete nonsense, the .repo file still works as if unchanged, zypper using the first line without any notice. This is potentially dangerous because it can mask a change in the URL which is invisible to the normal user. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
