https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=305978 Summary: External FW disk gets hal-storage-mount..... when not under root Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mario_bz@mgtech.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- I have an external disk on firewire 400. It has 1 Linux partition for backups and 2 Mac partitions (hfsplus). When I power the disk on and try to access partitions from the device list in Konquerer and I am not logged on as root I get: 1, For the Linux partition I intermittently get: "hal-storage-mount-renewable-external-options-known <-action,result)" 2. For the mac hfsplus partitions I always get it. Unless.... I log on as root first, then go back to non-root, then this does not happen for the Linux partition but still happens for Mac most of the time. I am unable to pinpoint the exact sequence to duplicate this every time. I do not have the hfsplus utilities installed but do not seem to need then since I can access the hfsplus volumes under root always. Sorry, but I have no idea what logs you need in this case. Let me know if needed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
