https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=305610 Summary: URLs launched from greeter don't give user feedback that anything is happening Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: btimothy@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Development If you're on a slow machine (in my case a VM) and click on a URL in greeter, nothing appears to happen (even though firefox is actually loading in the background). This may draw users to click again on the link; perhaps to reassure themselves that they actually did click on it. In this case, they'll end up with with two firefox windows. One window will have the opened URL and another will be a "Close Firefox" window with a, "Firefox is already running," message. Is there a way we could at least change the mouse pointer to be an hourglass/spinner/clock? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
