https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=304158 Summary: iwlwiifi: High CPU usage when Killswitch is on during boot Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Beta 2 Platform: 64bit OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: jg@novell.com ReportedBy: rhafer@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- This is on my Thinkpad T60. When I boot with having the Wireless Killswitch on (i.e. WLAN if off) the system is barely usable (mouse pointer reacts slowly and so on). I see this process consuming 44% CPU all the time: PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 1917 root 20 -5 0 0 0 R 44 0.0 1:19.08 iwl3945/0 So it seems to be related to the iwlwifi driver. Turning off the Killswitch fixes the problem. Even if I turned it on again after that the iwl3945/0 process does increase it CPU usage any more. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
