Somewhere, probably in the RNs, we should warn that adding and enabling default(?) online repos is resource hungry. It is much, much better than before, but for certain features you always must pay the prize.
On my test machine (PIII with 700 or 800 MHz and 512 MB RAM) it takes several minutes. Even with all the progress meters you sometimes have the feeling that it crashed.
Maybe, we could start get away with a text as follows:
On legacy systems with limited resources (Pentium III or earlier with 1 GB RAM or less) adding default online repositories can take several minutes. Do not give up too early...
