https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=301944 Summary: Sky2 network driver hangs on heavy network traffic Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SLES 10 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: kjames@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Field Engineer Hardware is ASUS P5K-VM motherboard with integrated Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8056 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 12). After installing SLES10-SP1 (EM64T version) when downloading large files (I've seen this after around 300Mb or so), the network card stops transferring data. Sometimes this causes the keyboard to stop responding (although the mouse still works), sometimes it hangs the whole PC. I've googled around and this seems to be a common problem with this driver/controller, later kernel revisions claim to fix these problems. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
