--- Comment #20 from Thomas Meindl 2007-08-14 09:03:40 MST ---
As far as I can see without patching the kernel, evdev wouldn't change
anything. The keys "ONE" to "FIVE", "My Favorites" and "Spellcheck" (which is
F10 with "Function Switch" enabled) aren't reported by evdev. All keys besides
these are also reported with the normal driver on the console.
showkey -k shows keycodes for "Homepage", "Search", "E-Mail", "Mute", "Volume
up", "Volume down", "Play/Pause", "Calculator", special keys "=" ,"(" and ")" ,
"Zoom +" and "Zoom -" . Some of them have codes above 255 and the "(" and ")"
over the number-block have the same keycode (Bug?).
All these can be mapped to the correspondent functionality of the X-Server at
least.
I think the question about evdev, when to enable it, how to test it, should be
discussed on the factory- mailing list.
