Summary: Install kernel locks up during boot
           Product: openSUSE 10.3
           Version: Beta 1
          Platform: i686
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Critical
          Priority: P5 - None
         Component: Kernel
        AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: bwhiteley@xxxxxxxxxx
         QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx
          Found By: Development

While attempting to install 10.3 beta1 on a Dell Optiplex GX260, the kernel
hangs while booting.  This is the last thing that I see:

Dell Optiplex GX260
  drivers: ata_piix, piix, generic
  loading ata_piix
Activating usb devices... ok
Dell Optiplex GX260
  drivers: e1000

Now the box is hung and the caps lock and scroll lock lights are flashing in
unison.
