--- Comment #28 from Thomas Meindl
Inserted the following TWO sections into /etc/X11/xorg.conf :
Section "InputDevice" Driver "mouse" Identifier "Mouse[1]" Option "Buttons" "7" Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice" Option "Name" "ExplorerPS/2 on USB" Option "Protocol" "ExplorerPS/2" Option "Vendor" "USB-Mouse" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" EndSection Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Logitech G5" Driver "evdev" Option "AlwaysCore" Option "Name" "Logitech USB Gaming Mouse" #the following Option seems not necessary (don't know whether it would work): #Option "Device" "/dev/input//dev/input/by-id/usb-Logitech_USB_Gaming_Mouse-event-mouse" Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5 6 7" Option "Emulate3Buttons" "false" EndSection
And then the following into the Section "ServerLayout" :
Section "ServerLayout" .. InputDevice "Mouse[1]" "CorePointer" InputDevice "Logitech G5" .. EndSection Now the X-Server fires up and the program xev shows me that also the so-called Tilt-Wheel, that means Button 7 and 8 (or so), does work. Recommend testing. Should it be working it should also be tested with with games (like Quake4), because there were problems with evdev in the past. I really, really hope this works, kind regards, Tom -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
