--- Comment #11 from Stephan Wefing
Using "NoDDC" would disable DDC on more or less *all* G550 cards. I don't think this is a good idea. Driving the monitor with more than 75 Hz is a corner case
I agree. "NoDDC" should be available (set?) for any card if the monitor is a Nokia 446Xpro.
this is a good idea. Driving the monitor with more than 75 Hz is a corner case for me anyway. Therefore I close this one as WONTFIX.
I do not agree. This CRT (!) monitor has a pretty high maximal dot freuquency and is well suited for refresh frequencies above 75 Hz. By the way, if I configure X via sax2 from the command line (no -s or --sysconfig option, no X server running), sax2's first suggestion for this monitor/card combination is to drive it with 1600x1200 pixels at 85 Hz which is even more demanding than 1280x1024 pixels at 90 Hz. (Note that this resolution is not contained in the list reported by the monitor via DDC.) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
