https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=297635 Summary: Kernel 2.6.22 with broken resume from suspend-to-ram on T60 Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 7 Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mbra@gmx.ch QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Hardware: IBM/Lenovo T60 (2007-FUG) With the actual kernel shipped with suse10.3, suspend-to-ram works, but resume hangs: In the left upper corner you can see a blinking cursor and the characters "inu" in yellow color (probably part of "Linux"). The "moon"-light to indicate the sleep-state on IBM Laptops is still on. The only thing you can do now is to hard-power-off the machine. I had a simiar problem with Alpha 1, but that was fixed with Alpha 3. To be sure it is a problem of the Kernel and not of the tools/setup, I started my suse 10.2 installation (where s2ram works) with the Kernel 2.6.22.1-10-default of suse 10.3-Alpha7 (I also copied the Kernel-modules to suse10.2). With that kernel, the resume also hangs (like 10.3 installation) Regarding these tests, it seems that --> it is not a problem of the hardware --> it is not a problem of the tools --> it is not a problem of the configuration --> it is a newly introduced problem of the Kernel -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
