https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=279955 Summary: YaST "Wireless Network Card Configuration" should be moved to "Network Card Setup" rather than being hidden behind it Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 4plus Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: casualprogrammer@yahoo.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com In openSuSE 10.3 alpha4 when trying to change WEP keys or keylength for an AP, there is no direct access to these parameters (Except for YaST sysconfig Editor, which is probably not the right way for an average user). To get access to these settings you need to start YaST / Network Devices / Network Card / Network Card Setup Here you are offered three tabs: General, Address and Hardware, only when pressing "Next" you get access to "Wireless Network Card Configuration". As this might be acceptable for a first setup, it surely is not for successive changes of these values. I suggest moving "Wireless Network Card Configuration" to "YaST / Network Devices / Network Card / Network Card Setup" as additional tab. I.e. you would then have General, Address, Hardware and Wireless. While changing this, "Key Length" could be made accessible from "Wireless Network Card Configuration" directly, rather than from "Wireless Keys" exclusively. As Encryption Key can be set here, the Key Length should be set here as well, as it is vital for connecting succesful to an AP with WEP. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
