It also dies silently if run from suse.de-updatedb in /etc/cron.daily, because STDERR is redirected to /dev/null. The subroutine select_shell() tests wheter to use su -s by testing for output of the commands 'su $1 -s $SHELL false < /dev/null' and 'su $1 -s $SHELL true < /dev/null' where $1 is the localuser and $SHELL is coded as /bin/sh. The commands should be 'su $1 -s $SHELL -c false < /dev/null' and 'su $1 -s $SHELL -c true < /dev/null' This works correctly. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
