https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=276934 Summary: incorrect unmount of removable media with some names Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sbrabec@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de I am using GNOME with gnome-volume-manager. Mounting a volume with a long name with spaces, commas and non-ASCII characters goes OK. If I want to unmount, I press eject button. After a moment, pop up appears "Cannot eject volume '...'" error. Pressing it again, device unmounts and medium is ejected, but /media/.hal-mtab still keeps the name and mount directory in /media is not removed. If you do it more times, number of orphan directories and items in /media/.hal-mtab raises. The problem is 100% reproducible. How to reproduce: growisofs -Z/dev/dvd -v -r -J -V "anything, use non-ASCII, spaces and commas" -J -r anything eject and insert press eject button press eject button -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
