https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=275091 Summary: changes for network Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 4 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: AutoYaST AssignedTo: ug@novell.com ReportedBy: mzugec@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Because of bug #264310 (and many others) we are doing some rewriting of network code for installation (will be much easier). Simple: In any case if network will be set in Linuxrc at the end of first stage this network settings will be written into installed system. For this case /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-* files are important. At the begin of second stage there is startup script which start the network. But in case of autoyast there is problem if lan_auto.ycp module will found any network configuration because he will skip interface configuration in profile. But problem is that first in profile != configured interface. My suggestion is to remove sys/network/ifcfg-* (but not -lo) in any case. To suppress this something like use_instll_network or similar -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
